On behalf of the Government of Grenada, I extend my sincere congratulations to the NTRC, LIME, Flow and the other parties responsible for the establishment of the first internet Exchange point in the English-speaking Caribbean and for the launch of a domestic Domain Name System Root server in Grenada.
Since 2009 the Caribbean Telecommunications Union and its strategic partner Packet Clearing House, have been working with the Government of Grenada on this initiative. Read more

LIME is delighted to be part of the creation of the Grenada Internet Exchange Point (IXP).
This initiative is an enabler in the Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) journey of our nation. It allows speedy and efficient sharing of information between local internet service providers and ultimately, customers of the providers. This will ultimately improve the consumer experience of our citizens when sharing information locally irrespective of internet service provider (ISP). It is an initiative that underscores the collaborative effort between competing entities for the common good of the ICT agenda of our nation. Read more
Columbus Communications Grenada Limited/FLOW
Today marks and celebrate another achievement in ICT and technology advancement in Grenada. The platform and stage for innovation and collaboration has been set, in Grenada having successfully deployed a true working model of a local Internet exchange, in Grenada. This local exchange hosts, not only a local traffic path for Service providers like LIME and FLOW but also Domain Name root services and soon ccTLD service for Grenada and possible CDN or Content delivery services in the future.
Like with all things great and successful, it was not an easy task to get to this point but the journey of the negotiating and the implementing of this Internet exchange (or IX) was in indeed in itself rewarding. Read more
CTU/Packet Clearing House
On behalf of the Secretary General of the Caribbean Telecommunications Union, Ms. Bernadette Lewis and Packet Clearing House, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Grenada on the relocation Grenada Internet Exchange point and the activation of a local instance of the DNS Root Server. For the past five years the Caribbean Telecommunications Union together with Packet Clearing House, has been promoting the proliferation of Internet Exchange Points in the Caribbean.
Today, we can declare with confidence that Grenada is serious about ensuring that its citizens have the proper enabling environment to pursue its ICT-based national development goals. In the process, Grenada is also sending a clear signal to the region that technological success can be achieved where there is vision, leadership and collaboration. Read more
